- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- 2 cups old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup chopped walnuts

You can whip up my favorite homemade oatmeal cookies in just a few easy steps, in no time at all!
- First, heat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a cookie sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the eggs and mix well.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Add the oats and mix well.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Then add the walnuts and raisins and stir until well incorporated.
- Using a medium cookie scoop (2 tablespoons), place dough balls onto the prepared baking sheet about an inch apart. Flatten slightly.
- Bake cookies for 10-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden brown. Let cool slightly on the pan, then move to a wire rack to cool completely.
