Baking with Nostalgic Flavors

This week on IGTV, we’re revisiting some childhood favorites that recall fond memories and comforting flavors. Did you look forward to lunches that included a simple and ever-classic PB&J sandwich? Was your go-to sweet treat a soft and chewy oatmeal cream pie sandwich cookie? If so, you don’t want to miss the recipes our editor-in-chief, Brian Hart Hoffman, is whipping up on Instagram this week! Take a trip down memory lane with us as we pay homage to some of our favorite nostalgic flavors with an epic PB&J cake and our Oatmeal Cream Sandwich Cookies. Tune in to our Instagram (@thebakefeed) to follow along with us, and check back as we update this page with the recipes!

1. PB&J Cake

This epic PB&J cake is packed with peanut butter, strawberry jam, and tastes just like that old ever-classic sandwich we all know from our early days. And just like that sandwich, you’ll turn to this cake again and again for those delicious and comforting flavors. It’s that good!

2. Oatmeal Cream Sandwich Cookies

We’re whipping up a batch of our Oatmeal Cream Sandwich Cookies. Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies were hands down our editor-in-chief’s favorite childhood snack. Bigger and better than store-bought but just as nostalgia-inducing, these jumbo Oatmeal Cream Sandwich Cookies are soft, chewy, and full of those familiar flavors we all know and love.
